Country: France
Region: Champagne
Type: Red Wine
Grape: Pinot Noir
Based in the celebrated Grand Cru village of Avize in the Côte des Blancs, Agrapart crafts some of the world's finest grower Champagne, farming old vines organically and relying on native yeast fermentations, extended lees aging, and minimal intervention, to reveal the pure expression of Champagne's legendary chalk soils. The estate, previously known as Agrapart & Fils, was established in 1894 by Arthur Agrapart, and is now run by the fifth generation of the family, Ambroise Agrapart, who joined his father Pascal in the 2018 vintage.
This exceedingly rare bottling is 100% Pinot Noir from 2020 and is the first release of this wine, with fruit coming from the best plots. Made 50% whole cluster with an 18 day maceration and gentle extraction. Aged in a mix of barrels and foudres before being bottled in 2022 without fining or filtration.
