Paolo Bea started bottling wine in 1980 and has continued his family's tradition of natural winemaking; not using any chemical or artificial intervention in the vineyard or the winery, observing the phases of the moon and respecting nature above all.
Giampiero acquired a parcel of 80-year-old Trebbiano Spoletino in the town of Pigge di Trevi several years back. Arising from a cooler microclimate than the “Arboreus” above, “Lapideus” spent a lengthy 35 days on it skins after pressing, followed by 210 additional days on the gross lees. Deep amber color, with aromas of apricot, candied ginger and spice. A lean and racy wine with impressive power and structure.
