Federico Orsi's biodynamic farm is located in Colli Bolognesi, a beautiful area just outside Bologna with a history of producing excellent wines. After purchasing the land and converting it to biodynamics, Federico committed himself to put the region back on the map. He embraces diversity and grows vegetables for local restaurants as well as making delicious Mortadella from his Mora Romagnola pigs that roam the farm freely. In the cellar, Federico experiments with different fermentation vessels and vinification styles with the goal of creating honest, delicious wines that represent the terroir. 

A great expression of the famous Emilia-Romagna terroir, made from the indigenous local grape, Pignoletto. After fermentation in vat, a small amount of must is added to the bottle for the second fermentation, creating a natural effervescence. 

This frizzante has yeasty aroma on the nose, with bright apple and lemon fruitiness, and an underlying minerality. On the palate, oxidized orchard fruit and citrus notes are balanced with light tannins and brilliant acidity, leading into a long and refreshing finish.
