Two wine loving friends started making organic wine under the Ocho label in 2014, with the mission of creating high quality organic wines using ancient Georgian techniques. Grapes are harvested from organic vineyards located in different parts of Georgia. The wines are made with wild yeast and free from any additives. Most of the wines are fermented with skins and aged in kvevris, the traditional clay pots used in Georgia.

In Georgian mythology, Ocho is revered as the guardian of forests and wild creatures, embodying the essence of nature’s untamed beauty. This wine is made from Chinuri grapes grown in the village of Plevi and aged in kvevri according to the ancient Georgian traditional method, with wild yeasts and free from any additives. It spent 1 month aging on skins, resulting in a golden-amber colored wine. Yellow fruit and green tea notes, along with pleasant acidity and light tannins give this wine its unique character.
