Thomas & Marie-Lise Batardière produce tiny amounts of pure and incredibly precise low-intervention wines in Anjou, France. Farming is certified biodynamic.

'Amor Fati' is 100% Grolleau coming from a tiny 0.33 ha parcel of the Case Neuve vineyard, planted in the 1960s. The vineyard is split between just two parcels, one of which Batardière farms. The soils are wild: a former riverbed sitting between the Britannic and Parisian continental plates, layered with clay, blue schist, quartz, and eroded schist.

Fermented semi-carbonic in stainless steel, with native yeasts and no additions. Aged in steel and bottled unfined and unfiltered, with just 1ppm of sulfur at bottling. Flavors of red berries and redcurrant, with floral notes, and very fine acidity.
