La Torretta is a small farm run by Maria Enqvist and Riccardo Magno that boasts a long winemaking tradition and has belonged to Riccardo’s family for generations. It is located in the Valle Marciana, just below Grottaferrata, facing west and overlooking the city of Rome. La Torretta’s agriculture is certified organic and biodynamic. The vineyard produces wine only using its own grapes, as well as honey and extra-virgin olive oil. In accordance with the local custom, they make the wine in an ancient cave dug by hand out of the tuff rock.
