Based in Orcet, in the Puy-de-Dôme region, Francine and François Dhumes embody an artisanal approach to winemaking, using carefully selected organic grapes, respecting lunar cycles, slow maceration, zero additives, discreet aging in old barrels, and a constant search for balance between expressing the terroir and respecting the fruit. The estate vinifies both its own grapes and selected fruit from the Ardeche, Beuajolais and Auvergne regions, championing an ethic of "living wine" that expresses the winemaker's hand, the uniqueness of the vintage, and the depth of the volcanic soil.
This is 100% Gamay d'Auvergne Pet-Nat direct pressed and slowly fermented in fiberglass before being transferred to bottle to finish ferment. Dry but still bursting with electric red fruit and vinous seriousness.
