Domaine Pellé is a fourth generation family estate run by the talented and hard-working Paul-Henry Pellé. The winery was officially started in the 1950s, though earlier generations of the Pellé family had produced wine even before then, selling barrels of wine to local Brasseries in the early 20th century. Paul-Henry's grandfather played an instrumental role in the establishment of the appellation, and lobbied hard to inlcude "Morogues" on the label, which he felt essential since it is unique in its high percentage of kimmeridgian soils.

This wine is produced from 4 hectares of vines planted in 1987 in the village of Montigny. Fruit is all estate-grown and farmed organically. Vinification is direct press, and indigenous yeast fermentation takes place in in stainless vats. Aged in stainless and neutral oak casks. This is classic Sancerre with a bit more weight due to the partial aging in neutral oak. Aromas of citrus, along with tropical fruits and stone fruits lead into a wine with taught acidity, good mineral and acid texture, and a tense finish.
