At twenty-nine-years old, up-and-coming winemaker Alessandra Divella is Italy's answer to grower Champagne, on track to upend the industrial farming practices rampant in Franciacorta. This zero/zero Franciacorta comes from two hectares of organically-farmed vines. The soil is of marine origin and composed of limestone and clay from the Jurassic period. The wines are all zero dosage and they refine from 2 to 5 years on the lees. Grapes are hand harvested and gently pressed.
This Blanc de Noirs is the most refined expression of pinot noir bottled by the estate. Made exclusively from first-press pinot noir which has been softly hand-pressed with a manual wood basket press. Aged for 48 months the lees, it opens with a bouquet of rich aromas on the nose and has a powerful minerality and structure on the palate.
