Marthe Henry Boillot pgrew up in Paris, studied journalism and worked as such before discovering her passion for wine and deciding to return to Meursault, where her family is from. When her grandfather, Pierre Boillot, passed away in 2004, the estate was then closed down but the 2.5 ha of vineyards were kept in the family. Marthe was able to take over some of these vineyards in 2023, and now, under her own eponymous label, produces very pure, energetic wines with strong expressions of terroir, marked by freshness and balance.
Farming is organic, and interventions are limited as much as possible. Marthe's wines spend at least 18 months in oak barrels, without racking. Sulfur is kept to a minimum and is used only at the point of bottling.
