The vines for the Sanford & Benedict Chardonnay were planted on their own roots in 1971, 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean on a north-facing bench of clay loam, above the Santa Ynez River in the heart of the Sta. Rita Hills.

Sanford & Benedict is highly-regarded, fabled vineyard which is dry-farmed and cultivated organically, which leads to smaller amounts of concentrated & healthy fruit. Orchard fruit, mint, white pepper and floral notes lend brightness to this creamy and beautifully layered Chardonnay.
