Ricetti Vineyard, in Redwood Valley, Mendocino County, was planted in 1948. Vines are head trained, dry farmed (non-irrigated), and organically farmed on gravelly loam soils.

Whole clusters of Carignan were fermented in stainless steel. A mixture of punchdowns and pumpovers were used to gently extract tannin. Aged in neutral oak barrique for 9 months before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. Aromas of ripe dark plum, lingonberry, red currant compote, and dried thyme. On the palate, notes of cranberry-pomegranate, raspberry, and tangerine, with a long supple finish.
