Country: Spain
Region: Rias Baixas
Type: White Wine
Grape: Albarino
This is 100% Albariño from a collection of organic/biodynamically-farmed plots in Meaño, Combados, Ribadumia, Meis, and Barro. The vines are 25-45 years old and planted on sandy granitic soils. The grapes were harvested by hand, sorted, and gently pressed without de-stemming in whole-bunches using a pneumatic press. The juice ferments with its native yeasts in stainless steel tank, then rests on the lees for 7 months in a mix of vessels. Very little sulfur is added.
Racy acidity, with mouthwatering notes of zesty, ripe citrus fruits layered with crunchy green apple. and is loaded with juicy citrus notes, the fleshy texture that brings fantastic balance to the vibrant bright sea salt finish. This bottle packs plenty of thirst-quenching zest, to pair with salty snacks, fried seafood, or peppery meals.
