This pure Nerello Mascalese is a blend from Cornelissen's 3 highest vineyards (Vigne Alte): Tartaraci, Rampante soprana, Barbabecchi. It expresses beautifully the value and precision of the old vines, ungrafted Nerello Mascalese on the high terraces in the Northern valley of Mount Etna. The most Burgundian of all his crus.

Wild macerated mixed berries, cherries, plums, herbal, with black peppercorns, with some mineral and smoke. This edgy wine is exactly what you would expect from cult producer Frank Cornelissen. Deep, intense, and wild. Extremely limited.
