TOMORROWS WINE

Country: Italy
Region: Piedmont
Type: White Wine
Grape: Timorasso
Vietti's Timorasso Derthona is part of the resurrection of a white grape that almost went extinct in the 1980s, yet now is making a comeback across the Langhe.
The grapes are selected from different vineyards located in Monleale (Alessandria Province), with a south-east and south-west exposure and a clay-limestone soil. Fermentation lasts 4 weeks and occurs partly in ceramic and partly in wooden and stainless steel casks. It does not undergo malolactic fermentation. The wine spends 10 months in ceramic, wooden and stainless steel casks.
This is a classic Timorasso with a distinctive herbal edge, and layers of aromas and flavors. Clear, intense yellow color, with aromas of pear and peach, and white flowers with honey notes. On the palate it offers a beautiful balance of acidity and minerality, and a long lingering finish.
