A unique and rare bottling from Hirotake Ooka of Domaine de La Grande Colline who works 3.8 hectares of vines throughout the Northern Rhône. Organic/biodynamic farming. Spontaneous fermentation in oak; aging in oak; no fining, no filtering, no added sulfur.

From his own young plantings, this is complex and a bit ashy in its tannins—the rare Cornas to drink early. A raw, wild wine, with notes of black stone fruits and coffee. The volatile acidity brings a savory aspect to the wine, which is tight and grainy on the finish.
