TOMORROWS WINE
$46.99
Country: France
Region: Loire
Type: White Wine
Grape: Sauvignon Blanc
Gerard Boulay's vineyards produce some of the most distinctive and soil-inflected Sauvignon Blancs in the Loire, with a delineation and minerality often reminiscent of a top Chablis. Boulay is among the top examples of the appellation's potential.
Organic farming. Gerard manually works the soil. All fruit is hand-harvested. Natural yeast fermentation in tank. Aged 8 months on lees in about 95% tank, 5% large used wood.
Racy and very complex, with bright citrus and herbaceous notes on the nose that open up to melon, pink grapefruit and a light spice of white pepper and minerals. The palate has wonderful acidity, yet is still lush and mouth-coating.
