A collaboration between Meinklang and Zini, Good Intentions is a project created out of friendship and a pure form of passion. Niklas Peltzer (Meinklang) and Andreas Ziniel (Zini) have been friends for a long time and have inspired each other over the years to grow and to develop. With a desire to highlight terroir, farming and winemaking, they decided to start this small project on Andreas’s family farm in the Seewinkel, Burgenland, Austria. This wine comes from one of Andreas and Niklas’s favorite vineyard, called Johanneshöhe.

Certified biodynamic/organic Merlot grown on more gravelly soil. The wine was fermented whole-cluster with 3 different degrees of carbonic maceration for 10 days before pressing. Aged in concrete vats and bottled unfined and unfiltered, without any added sulfur.

Dark-fruited, almost tarry, with notes of tart cherries and spice and a minerally backbone.
