Maxime Troncy comes from a winemaking family. In 2013, his father bequeathed him some vines to work without chemical intervention. It's a plot of about 10 hectares with vines varying from 70 years old to less than a decade old, and Maxime's plan is to eventually convert the whole estate.
(Gamaret is a varietal originating from Switzerland, a cross between Reschensteiner (a German crossbreed from the late 30's) and Gamay.) The Gamaret is destemmed here, with 10 days maceration.
Troncy says he produces the "sourire" cuvées for pleasure, for conviviality and sharing. Notes of fresh strawberries and cream, with ample freshness and fruit.
