Amélie Berthaut of Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet has been blessed with enviable vineyard holdings throughout the Côte de Nuits through both her parents and through her own contracts, including some of the most sought-after vineyards in Vosne-Romanée. Within a short time (her first vintage was 2013), Amélie has put her own village on the map and become perhaps the shiniest of the rising stars of Burgundy. While she's been described as new guard, her wines, though contemporary, are as refined and classic as she is.
This 2018 Vosne-Romanée Village comes from two parcels: Les Réas and Rivière. This wine reveals aromas of smoky cherries and incense followed by a medium to full-bodied ample palate with a succulent core of fruit and fine-grained, structured tannins.
