Matthiasson grows a lot of peaches, for their famous jams as well as for local restaurants, but most years they also make peach wine for home consumption. The peaches have gorgeous aromatics that translate beautifully to wine.

For this Peach and Chardonnay sparkler, they combined their home-grown Fay Elberta heirloom peaches with their Linda Vista Chardonnay grapes, macerating them together and pressing them together in the press. Matthiasson dry-farms their peaches on their Certified Organic property in the Napa Valley. The Linda Vista Vineyard was planted back in 1989, and the Matthiassons took it over and converted it to organic farming in 2011. Grapes for the Grape + Peach wine were picked in early August, at very low sugar levels. 

This is a refreshing, feather-light wine with mouthwatering acidity and beautiful aromatics. Just 8.5% alcohol.
