The Brovia family winery was founded in 1863 by Giacinto Brovia, and from the beginning, the importance of terroir has been the priority of their viticultural style. Over the generations, an uncompromising attitude towards vineyard selection has allowed the family to extend their landholding into arguably the greatest of Barolo’s vineyard crus, including Rocche, Villero and Garblèt Sue’ in Castiglione Falletto and Ca’Mia and Brea in Serralunga d’Alba. Grapes are organically farmed, lightly crushed, and classically vinified. The wines are fermented at a cool temperature. The Barolos are aged in large French and Slavonian barrels, then bottled without filtration.

This wine comes from From 1.5 hectares planted in 1966 on white sands in the Rocche cru near Castiglione Falletto. Always the most aromatic and sensual of the crus from Brovia, the fabled “Rocche” shows a more elegant side of Barolo. Star anise, tobacco and underbrush are just some of the aromas you'll find on this stunning red. Medium- to full-bodied and elegantly structured, with notes of cedar, cherry, raspberry compote, baking spices and licorice.
