Rosé 6-Bottle Special Includes:
Alessandro Viola Rosé 2021 (Sicily)
100% Nero d'Avola. Native yeast fermentation, aged in steel tanks for 6 months. Bottled with no filtration and minimal sulfur. Dark pink shade. A fresh, aromatic rosé with bright fruit and notes of fresh raspberries.
Le Coste Rosato 2020 (Lazio)
100% Aleatico. Fruit for this wine comes from a 50 year-old vineyard, planted 500 meters above sea level. The cool, wet vintage produced delicate fruit that spent only a couple of hours in contact with the skins before being pressed into tank. A lovely, crunchy rosato with bright acidity and elegant aromatics.
Matthiasson Rosé 2021 (CA)
This 2021 Rosé was made from a combination of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Counoise from the Windmill Vineyard in the Dunnigan Hills, Barbera from the Muller Vineyard in the Dunnigan Hills (Yolo County), and Syrah grapes from the Hurley Vineyard in Napa Valley. All three vineyards are farmed organically. The fruit is grown specifically for rosé, so fruit is harvested very early, ensuring that it is high-toned, crisp, and refreshing. Citrusy aromas, bright acidity and clean red berry flavors.
Arnot-Roberts Rosé 2021 (Lake County, CA)
A blend of Touriga Nacional, Gamay Noir, Tinta Cao and Grenache, the fruit is crushed lightly prior to pressing to release some color, then fermented with native yeasts and aged in stainless steel. Vibrant, pale salmon color, with aromas of melon, citrus and dried herbs. Flavors of orchard fruits with bright acidity and a saline, mineral finish.
Thibaud Boudignon Rosé 2020 (Loire)
A direct press rosé made from a blend of Cabernet Franc & Grolleau, this organic/biodynamic wine is made using indigenous yeasts and aged in stainless steel. It has a delicate texture, notes of bitter peach skin, bracing minerality and a saline finish.
Château Simone "Les Grandes Carmes de Simone" Rosé 2020 (Provence)
From the famed Château Simone comes this declassified (yet still exceptional) version of the Palette Rose based around younger vines (Grenache/Mourvèdre/Cinsault/Merlot). After crushing and partial de-stemming, fruit is spontaneously co-fermented in foudre for 13-15 days. The wine spends 6 months aging on the less, followed by 8-10 months in neutral barrel. Bottled unfiltered. Deep, rich color. Energetic and taut, with elegant aromas, ample body, and freshness.
