Inspired by the flamboyant wines of St.-Joseph, winemaker Pax Mahle says this 100% Syrah is one of the most exciting and compelling wines he and his team have ever bottled. Just like in St. Joseph, this is a blend of fruit from multiple sites whose expositions show the freshness and vibrancy that Syrah can achieve on cool-climate hillside slopes. 

A decadent and delicious wine. Fresh aromas of roasted earth, black licorice, blackberries, tar, pepper and smoke. This is unmistakably Syrah - rich, supple, and incredibly textured, with a balance of fruit, spice, savory and sweet.
