Type: White Wine
Grape: Chenin Blanc
Planted in 1944 just north of the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas in Mendocino, this vineyard is exceptional. Dry-farmed without the use of chemicals at the base of Enlightenment Mountain in gravelly volcanic soils, there is an amazing concentration and intensity to the fruit from these vines.
This wine undergoes 11 month élevage in neutral French oak and Eastern European barrels.
Waxy woolen notes along with honeycomb, white peach and citrus blossoms. Crisp and bright with racy acidity, sweet fruit and a seamless finish.
