Tomorrow's Wine
$32.99
Country: Spain
Region: Catalonia
Grape: Ull de Llebre (AKA Tempranillo)
The Bardissots wines are a collaboration between Oriol Artigas and his former students, local growers Pepe and Pilar, and the Oriental labels are the newest additions to his range of wines. From young (six year old) vines of Ull de Llebre planted in sandy soils by the beach near Alella, that are harvested quite early, this is a light, fresh, natural wine with lots of Mediterranean character.
The 'Oriental' name in these wines refers to the Valles Oriental, the comarca, or county, in Catalonia where the grapes are sourced.
Just a touch darker than a rose, this is a bright red wine to serve with a chill: the zippy acid core is bright and refreshing, surrounded by pretty red berry fruits and salinity.
