The Matthiasson 2022 Rosé was made from a combination of Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Counoise from the Windmill Vineyard, and Barbera from the Muller Vineyard, both in the Dunnigan Hills. Both vineyards are farmed organically.
Light as a feather, with citrusy aromas and beautiful, clean flavors. Subtle fruits, salty minerality, and refreshing acidity. To capture that zesty brightness, they harvest very early, barely past veraison, similar to the level of ripeness for sparkling wine, picking the fruit when it is still high-toned, crisp, and refreshing.
