Matthiasson blended this table wine from a few different 2017 lots of their wine that didn’t quite make it into the Matthiasson Estate Cabernet blend but that tasted delicious together as a “village” wine.
The nose shows abundant red fruits and bright cherry, along with blackberry, cranberry and mulberry, and framed with hints of mineral/herbal characters such as graphite, cedar, and pencil shavings. Vibrant and fresh on the palate, with light tannins and beautiful acidity.
