Martin Texier is the son of Eric, the famous northern Rhône natural wine producer. He now has five hectares in and around St.-Julien-en-St.-Alban, planted to classic Rhône varieties, both red and white, grown on many different soil types: clay, limestone, gneiss, schist and granite, making for a wide range of different styles of wine to be made. Martin’s passion is to revive the local traditions of natural winemaking, both in the vineyards and in the cellar (organic/biodynamic farming, native yeast fermentations, no sulfur).
Methode Ancestrale: direct press to stainless steel tanks for fermentation, then bottled with a touch of residual sugar to carry out secondary fermentation in the bottle. No added sulfur.
Lightly sparkling, dry and highly aromatic, with notes of pear, white flowers, fresh-cut herbs and pink grapefruit.
