Type: Red Wine
Where normally a red wine gets it’s color from maceration on the skins, in the case of this Budeshuri Saperavi it’s the flesh of the grapes that’s red. Normally this creates intense wines, but the winemaker is focused on keeping it light and quaffable. The wine undergoes sponteneous fermentation and is pressed immediately after arriving in the cellar without any skin contact and is aged in Qveri. This would typically create a white wine, however this is a red. It is bottled unfined and unfiltered, with minimal sulfur.
Light and peppery but with loads of fresh acidity, and notes of sour and black cherry. Refreshing with a light chill.
