Type: White Wine
Maloof Wines is a husband-and-wife winery team based in Willamette Valley, Oregon, focused on producing single vineyard wines of "often overlooked or misunderstood white varieties," in addition to making some fun and funky cuvées of all colors.
The 70-acre estate vineyard is nestled in the Coast Range foothills on the western edge of the Willamette Valley, and planted to 30 acres of vines, some of which are the oldest in the region.
This Riesling was grown on jory and loess soils, hand-harvested then pressed a few hours after the fruit was foot trodden in picking bins. It was fermented and aged in neutral oak Burgundy puncheons for 10 months. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with 30ppm total sulfur.
