Fruit for this Gamay Noir is sourced from the west Sta Rita Hills. Organic farming on marine sedimentary rock with elevated calcium and silica content. While frosts can be problematic here, the coolness increases acidity and freshness in cool climate grape varieties such as this.
This wine was made using 100% whole clusters under complete carbonic conditions. The wine fermented spontaneously with native yeast and was aged in neutral oak for 6 months. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Deep fuchsia color in the glass with aromas of violets, freshly sliced watermelon and red raspberry, and nuances of cinnamon and coriander.
