Tomorrow's Wine
$36.99
Country: USA
Region: Santa Cruz
Type: White Wine
Grape: Chardonnay
This Chardonnay is sourced from several small vineyards on the ocean side of the Santa Cruz Mountains and one vineyard in Los Altos Hills, the most notable being the old Arey Vineyard planting and Toyon Vineyard. These sites remain extremely cool during the summer due to intense prevailing ocean winds. Planted on mountainous terrains, the vineyards have shallow sandstone topsoils which limits the yield and increases the depth and mineral concentration. All vineyards are farmed organically.
Upon harvest, this Chardonnay is pressed gently to barrel, where native fermentations occur. The wine remains in barrel for 6-9 months before racking to stainless steel tanks for an additional 4 months.
Bright aromatics of orange blossom and jasmine. Soft on the palate, with flavors of lemon and honeydew melon. The wine finishes with a subtle saline minerality that leaves the mouth watering and wanting more.
