Grape: Nero d’Avola/Frappato/Moscato
Organic farming. Native yeast fermentation. Direct press, aged in concrete for eight months and bottled with no additions.
The dominant grape of this blend is Frappato, with its candied strawberry notes, picked early to retain a bright cranberry tartness. Nero d’Avola adds a touch of spice. The floral, aromatic note comes from a small addition of Moscato from a separate base wine that Filippo adds to kick-start the spontaneous fermentation.
