Type: Red Wine
This tiny Lamoresca estate was started by husband and wife team Filippo and Nancy Rizzo. Filippo, a native Sicilian, became passionate about natural wines while he owned and operated a small restaurant in belgium. After 10 years of restaurant life, he was ready to get closer to his roots, and the duo settled in the small province of Catania near Etna, and their property is situated about 450 meters above sea level. They only have about 4 hectares under vine and focus on producing high quality wine from indigenous varieties. The Nerocapitano (a local and ancient name for Frappato) comes from older vines, is macerated for 15 days prior to fermentation, and spends 12 months in concrete before release.
A vibrant, perfumed Mediterranean wine. Light & bright, with wildflower aromatics and a lovely red fruit character.
