This tiny producer cut her teeth in the vineyard of Clos Roche Blanche in Touraine and at Alice and Olivier de Moor in Burgundy, and there's a lift to her wines that references her mentors.
Planted in 2009, Hollow Oak acres has had a tumultuous past. It was planted by the former Maysara vineyard manager, who brought his biodynamic practices with him. The vineyard has been farmed organically aside from a 1-year gap in 2017.
The 2021 (LBJ) is a whole-cluster, partial carbonic red Pinot Noir from Hollow Oak Acres, a high-altitude vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains AVA of the Willamette Valley. Light and nuanced, with lots of red berry fruit, medium acidity and a lengthy finish.
