The Manchester Ridge Vineyard is perched at 2,000 feet of elevation just west of Anderson Valley along the Pacific Ocean. It’s located at the top of the Pacific Coast Mountain range, just above the fog line. There is a notable maritime influence and Goldridge soils that impart a striking tension and mineral quality to wines grown there.
The grapes were harvested at 19 brix, macerated for 4 hours on the skins and fermented in stainless steel. The wine was aged in barrel for 3 months before bottling for secondary fermentation. It was aged 6 months in bottle before being disgorged by hand. This short tirage time emphasizes the wine’s freshness.
Brisk and bright, with notes of raspberry, blood orange peel, and lemon verbena.
