Type: Red Wine
The Viret family has chosen to employ a particular form of natural viticulture throughout their estate. Known as “cosmoculture®”, this is based on energy fields. Everything is organized in such a way that both the vines and wines are able draw on their own natural defenses. The work in the vineyards focuses on reorganizing the magnetic field and on the application of homeopathic and natural preparations made from rocks and plants that are often found naturally within the vineyard.
Fruit comes from organically/biodynamically-farmed parcels scattered throughout the property, grown on limestone-clay soils. The wine macerated for six weeks and slowly aged in concrete for four years without any additives, including sulfur. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, with no additional sulfur.
Ripe, concentrated red fruit with notes of leather, black olives and an array of herbs and spices. Lovely acidity, a grainy texture, and a hint of minerality leading into the long finish.
