Grape: Pinot Noir/Gamay
Before becoming a winemaker, Grégory Leclerc got a Master’s degree in history, but didn’t see himself as the professor type. He tried journalism and marketing too, but it was only when he met a group of passionate natural winemakers in the Loire that he knew he had found his calling. Grégory bought 6.5 hectares of vines in 2007 and founded Domaine Chahut & Prodiges in Touraine, where he farms organically, growing Chenin, Sauvignon, Gamay, Côt (Malbec) and Grolleau.
Hand-harvested. Spontaneous fermentation in fiberglass tanks with indigenous yeasts. Unfined, unfiltered, with no added sulfur. This easygoing rose pet-nat is bright, crunchy and very drinkable.
