Type: Red Wine
Pelaverga has been grown by the Burlotto family for years. The harvest is carried out by hand to preserve the integrity of the fruit. The bunches are de-stemmed and the must moved by gravity into open French oak vats and open stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation takes place. During the maceration, delicate pumping over and punching down are carried out daily. Temperature control is used to preserve the aromatics.
The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and subsequent maturation in stainless steel tanks until late spring, when the wine is bottled. In some vintages there is a short period of aging in large wooden barrels.
This light red has beautiful savory and floral aromas and notes of red berries, orange peel and white pepper on the palate. It is both complex and very drinkable. Pairs perfectly with wild mushroom risotto.
