California Gamay is a rarity, but in the last 20 years it has found a successful home in two single vineyards in the Sierra Foothills’ El Dorado AVA.  This AVA is reminiscent of Beaujolais, with both high altitude and granite soils.  Grapes are harvested  and fermented separately via carbonic maceration, which leads to fresh, vibrant fruit. The wines are then blended and aged in stainless steel and neutral oak. To preserve the aromatics and texture, this wine is unfined and unfiltered. 

Bright and peppery, with light aromas of vanilla, cream, strawberries, and raspberries leading into structured tannins and a long finish.
