Ampeleia wines are made by natural winemaking star Elisabetta Foradori. Fruit is sourced from the cool and breezy Vigna della Pieve, on the Tuscan coast. Organic/biodynamic farming. Stony soils. Grapes are fermented 30% whole-cluster for 10 days, followed by 6 months of aging in concrete tanks.
Lean appearance with light ruby and garnet highlights. Aromas and flavors of rose, lilac, violet, strawberry, and fresh cracked pepper. Light in body and tannins, with a crisp finish.
