Fruit for this wine comes from the famous Waterhorse Ridge vineyard, in Fort Ross, on the far Sonoma Coast. Darker cassis, herbal, and blue fruit are present here, making this a powerful, yet not heavy, wine with fine tannins and healthy acidity on the finish. This is a fantastic wine (and big staff favorite) especially given the price point vs other higher priced Waterhorse/Fort Ross wines.
