Type: Red Wine
Amiran Vepkhvadze's Wine Cellar is located in a fertile valley just east of the Ajamura River and south of the flowing Kvirila River, in the western Imereti region of Georgia. The winery and wine cellar sit 200 meters above sea level high in a sub-tropical climate, which is rich for winemaking.
They farm following organic practices and traditional Georgian methods, making dry wines with amazing complexity and character.
A very light co-ferment with juicy cranberries, mineral, a touch of wildness and bracing acidity. Tsitska is often blended with Tsolikouri, but in this case it’s co-fermented with the red Otskhanuri, giving a super light, chillable “red” wine with surprising notes of dried spices and unexpected depth.
